Chapter 5

Red and Blue came home about an hour and a half after Vaati arrived. Green and Vaati were continuing their convocation. Green looked up.

“Fish again?” he said, sounding a bit disappointed.

“I saw a rabbit but 'someone' didn’t want to kill it!” Blue replied, looking angry at Red.

“Rabbits are cute!” Red said defensively, “I didn’t want to kill it!”

“What about the fish? You killed them, didn’t you?” Blue accused.

“Fish aren’t cute!” Red replied. Green sighed and yelled upstairs, “Vio! Shadow! Red and Blue are back with breakfast!”

When hearing this, Vio came down, grabbed two fish and disappeared upstairs again.

“He certainly spends a lot of time up there…” Red said.

“Someone’s gotta keep Shadow company” Green replied. “Hey guys… have you noticed anything… strange going on?”

Red shook his head. “Nope,” he said, “Not since the attack with the ball-tentacle-thing.”

“Exactly!” Green said, “Why would we encounter a giant Cyclops which made us pull out the four sword, a black cloud, and then everything’s fine?! I think something’s up.”

“I'm with Green,” Blue agreed, “Something’s defiantly up.”

“What concerns me is why that monster was happy that we pulled out the four sword” Vio said, leaning on the wall near the stairs.

“Aren’t you supposed to be taking care of Shadow?” Red asked.

“Oh he’s fine” Vio replied.

“I think we should head for the minish woods” Vaati said, talking for the first time on the subject. “I saw a couple of octorks on my way over here and the shadows sounded like they were whispering to one another.”

“Let’s leave tomorrow,” Vio suggested. “We’ll be able to rest and be ready for a fight by tomorrow.” Red and Blue nodded in agreement.

“..No” Green said, “If you want rest, get it now ‘cause we’re leaving tonight so Shadow can come aswell.”

“Okay” Red agreed.

“Right” Blue said as he nodded.

“…fine…” Vio said, annoyed.

“I'm going upstairs to take a nap so I can be refreshed for tonight!” Red said joyfully. Vio’s eyes widened on hearing this.

“Uh… why don’t you…um… verse me one-on-one in a sword fight?” he suggested.

“Nope! Thanks for offering, though!” Red replied. He skipped off upstairs. When he got to the bedroom he saw Vio and Shadow, lying unconscious on the floor. Red gasped. ‘But… if Vio is here… then who’s…’ Red turned round to see the impostor. Red let out a small yelp of fright.

“I see you've figured it out, then…” the impostor spoke softly, but menacingly. A snigger broke on his face. “We can't have that now, can we?”

He morphed into a black smoke and circled around Red. Red tried to scream, but the smoke was blocking anything from passing his lips. The smoke started to suffocate him. The smoke stopped circling Red and Red fell onto the floor, unconscious. The smoke dashed down the stairs and out the door. Blue saw this.

“Did you guys just see that?” he said. Green and Vaati looked at him and shook their heads. “Well I'm gonna go check it out…” Blue walked upstairs and entered the bedroom. He saw the three Links, lying on the floor, unconscious.
