Hay gais (: I'm seeming to update more often, which is good. I also have reasons to, as I'm learning and going to more anime conventions XD Australia ain't no America, but we got our share of conventions that no other can match (:
So a few days ago I went with my friend, Nessie's to Animania, which was in the city of Melbourne. But before that, we went to my friend's place, and we hired 4 movies (Silent Hill, Emperor's New Groove, Scary Movie 2 and some other horror) and Singstar. We kinda spent too much time playing Singstar, so we only got to watch two movies, which were Silent Hill (SUCH a freaky movie. According to Maxi the game was the same, but wasn't as freaky. Maybe cuz the movie was live-action?) and Emporer's New Groove (probably one of my favourite movies in the whole world XD Krunk's the best character EVER). Then we went to bed, and when we woke up Maxi was randomly in Nessie's room with no recollection of how she got there. She still doesn't know. It's really scary...

Anyway, after that, we left for Animania. Coicidentally, we were dropped off right where my friend from Kendo was in line, and he let us cut in (he suggested it, I swear XD), so we missed a crap-load of waiting. I also really got to know him better, as we talked the whole time we were in the que. "Holy crap! We're in the building!" we all shouted when we entered the hotel. "Holy crap! We're on the stairs!" we shouted when we were on the stairs. And then, "Holy crap! We're at the top of the stairs!". And finally, "Whoohoo! We're free!!" We then made jokes about ques coming in our nightmares, and one of my friends mentioned that she actually did have a dream about standing in a que. We laughed.
So while I was there, I had a great time. We watched some of the new Gravitation movie(?), and there was this little kid behind us and we were like "...o.O" Then when it finished, we watched a bit of Black Blood Brothers, and since I already saw the first episode, I went to find the other half of our group, since we sorta lost them in the shopping 'market'. I couldn't find them, so I came back and we texted them instead. They came, and we left and had lunch (: KFC (haha, Ike XD). Actually, I've never been to KFC until then, so it was quite strange XD
Anyway, when we finished, we made our way back, went back into the shop market, and then we watched the cosplay competition ^_^ My friend had her DS, and we started talking to people on PictoChat (which reminds me to ALWAYS bring my DS to conventions. I was SO pissed when I didn't being it, cuz I also forgot my fuckin' CAMERA). Hehe, one of the guys we were talking to told us he was Neku, and we were like "WHOA, HE'S THAT AWESOME NEKU WE SAW BEFORE!!" and after the competition, we made it our mission to find him.
I gave up after a while, though, deciding to go to the Activities room and play Smash Brothers instead. It was my friend who found him, and so she called me, and we went to say hi (or just kinda... squeal. Whichever). Then we went back to the activities room, and we played Smashies, also meeting people who were AWESOMELY nice! ^^ The cosplay chess was held there, too, so it was fun watching that while we waited our turn. There was also Twister, and I had to do the impossible, so I gave up, complaining that I just could NOT stretch like that. The guy hosting it said it was because I was a girl. So I replied with the usual "I'd like to see you try it, then!" He actually took me up on my offer, which surprised me, but I said "right" and showed him what position I was in, and what he had to do. When I told him left foot on Blue (my foot was already on it, but he said you had to choose a different one, and the only one available was all the way on the other side), he looked at the space, back and his foot, hesitated, then said "Well that was silly, then!" And went back to hosting. I SHOWED HIM >:3
Smash Brothers itself was fun, too. I pretty much always played as Marth, but I never really won. We also had a Marth-off, which ended horribly for me cuz I came last XD But I lasted a while, so it was good. Actually, the only time I won was when this guy was playing, then when it started, he offered me a go and got up before I could even answer, so I was playing as Falco. But I guess its not that big of surprise that I won cuz Falco used to be my main for a while.
Then when we got kicked out when Animania finished, as I got in the car (get this, FE fans...) I saw some guy dressed as SOTHE! And how I WISHED I brought my camera.

And that was our day of awesomeness (: When I was at Animania I bought (hehe) another Laven doujinshi, and it wasn't fluff this time, which was good >:3 I also bought a Doctor Who bookmark for my Dad, which had an anime version of the Docter (David Tannant) with it saying "Docter... Who?" KYA, IT WAS AWESOME >w<
